What a fantastic jam packed four days of fashion, catwalk, shopping and industry insider talks. We loved meeting our clients, discovering new designers, making friends and basically getting our 2018 fashion game face on!
The iconic designer Zandra Rhodes showed her “wearable dreams” as she calls her clothes, on the headline catwalk show on Thursday. Zandra headed the new wave of British designers who put London at the forefront of international fashion in the 1970s. Her catwalk showed Rhodes' creations as bold, dynamic and feminine – we left feeling energized, uplifted and longing for a more colourful life. Let me take you back to the early noughties when the must have garment was a pink Juicy Couture velour tracksuit championed by the likes of “That’s Hot” Paris Hilton and every celeb from here to LA. Well Juicy Couture is back with a bang!! Rebooted for 2018 by super-stylist Jamie Mizrahi (she curates the wardrobes of Katy Perry, Nicole Richie and Suki Waterhouse). It’s not just about the velour tracksuit, the collection was full of pretty baby doll dresses and jumpsuits and we actually really like the new designs which are irreverent, bright and laid back.
Throwing Shade – and not the fighting talk kind. We fell in love with Vow London sunglasses brand – the more cat eye and sparkly the better. These boots were made for walking and that’s just what they’ll do....Julia Mays is a luxury footwear label dedicated to creating beautiful shoes that are a treat to wear, and my personal favourite discovery at #LFWF. I want these boots in yellow, red, silver, green every god damn colour and every style….if only I had more legs!. The talented Lucy Williams ‘Fashion Me Now’ was the leading blogger presence at this season’s #LFWF. She curated her favourite designers including Cloe Cassandro, Missoma, RIXO London, SALT SURF . We also spotted two of our favourite bloggers in the lux lounge - Niomi Smart who talked and gave tips on how to capture your audience in a digital age, and our current fave on instagram Pascale Banks ‘Style Mum’ rocking her mother of pearl coat and looking chic as ever.
