Here @oliviaandpearl we are BIG fans of spring…people spill out onto the streets after work, there’s a burst of colour everywhere, cherry blossom clouds overhead and it feels like a time for new beginnings. As the late Robin Williams perfectly put it - spring is nature's way of saying, "Let's party!". What’s not to love?

I’ve lived in London for over 18 years (apart from a little break stateside!) and of all the seasons in all the cities, spring in London is my favourite (so long as those pesky showers stay away.

So, because we heart spring so much, we thought we should bring you a little Pearl Girl inspired guide to springtime in London including all our favourite places to drink, eat, shop and while those longer days away.

Any perfect spring day should start with tea (and maybe cake). Our favourite haunt is Peggy Porschen’s spring terrace on Elizabeth Street – we love the mixed berry iced tea – it’s perfect for people watching which, along with tea is another pastime we can get behind. I fell in love with Belgravia after being a part of their fabulous luxury Christmas market and Peggy Porschen’s is perfectly placed to enjoy the spring sunshine.

Nothing screams spring time like flowers. If you’re feeling flush, then we absolutely adore Neil Stain’s in Belgravia – for something exquisite that’s guaranteed to impress there’s nowhere better. But if you fancy some blooms to brighten up your bedroom that won’t break the bank head to Colombia Road flower market. The street is crowded with stalls from flowers sellers of all kinds yelling out prices and varieties. It feels like a part of old London has come back to life.

It seems there are a few entrepreneurial Olivia’s knocking around London these days. We recently discovered Olivia Von Halle’s dreamy (pun intended!) sleepwear boutique just off Sloane Square and instantly fell in love. She is very much a woman after my own heart – designing pyjamas that are so chic they work in every scenario, from enjoying a gin and tonic on the terrace to stretching out in a plush four poster bed. I’m saving all my pennies for her Lila Rocky Silk Pyjama and Hero Apollo Silk full length dress. Is it too early to write to Father Christmas?

You don’t have to tell us that shopping works up an appetite. For a buzzy, fun atmosphere you can’t beat lunch at the Ivy Garden on the King’s Road. It’s a great place to meet friends and catch up on their stunning green terrace. I’ve been known to go there on my own to write and soak up the spring sun.

To satisfy that post lunch sweet craving (don’t lie, we know you have one too) head to Saint Aymes for spectacular coffee and chocolate. It’s honestly the best we’ve ever had, and that’s saying something - the badass Marie Antoinette -23ct Gold, Cookie and Cream, White Chocolate Bar is almost a religious experience!

Now, just a quick change at home before heading out into the sunset to party the night away (stay tuned for our guide to the ultimate London party hot spots). I’m meeting a friend to grab some cocktails at Dalloway Terrace. I’d highly recommend trying the Gin Lane.

Spring has definitely sprung!
